Scam Awareness

No one is exempt from being scammed. However, the elderly are high on the list of those targeted. Educating them is of the utmost importance.

Listen closely when speaking to your widows and widowers over the phone. If you detect even a hint of a scam, talk to them about it. Encourage them to call a family member or you if they are unsure about something.

When planning a gathering, retreat or other events for your widows and widowers, consider inviting someone from the Attorney General's office to speak on the topic.
