Our two-fold ministry comes alongside local churches and denominational leaders, assisting and equipping them in ministering to their widowed. Through HOPE for the Widowed events and personal relationship building, we are striving to build a supportive community for the widowed that will help ease their grief, restore their hope and connect them with others walking the same path.

  • As of 2021, there were 3.48 million men widowed in the U.S., and 11.27 million women.

  • Every three minutes, four women become widowed.

  • A widow loses 75% of her friendships.

  • 50% of widows leave their church after their husband’s death, and most will never return.

  • Three out of four churches do NOT have a widow’s ministry. This is a critical need in our churches!

Resources - For Denominational Leaders

A Manual to assist those called to begin a ministry to bring HOPE to ministerial widows and widowers within their district is currently in production. We hope for it to be available to purchase soon. Sample forms and documents from the manual will be available to download for personalization as you begin your own ministry.

Resources - For the Local Church

As we come alongside you, and assist you in setting up a Widowed Ministry in your own church, there are a number of excellent Ministries and online resources gathered to support you and those for whom you are being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Stories

We all have a story to share. It is through giving voice to our own experiences - both the challenging ones and the moments of victory - that a deeper level of healing occurs. Personal stories help to illuminate the winding path for others as they navigate their way out of the darkness of grief.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…
